Prior to the Tokyo Nutrition for Growth Summit 2021 hosted by the Government of Japan on December 7 and 8, JICA will hold an official side event co-hosted by UNICEF on December 2.

The event is for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and private sector working on nutrition improvement around the world, with the aim of sharing the latest knowledge and experiences on nutrition improvement from various countries and related organizations. This side event is to introduce measures and practices to address the double burden of malnutrition. Furthermore, the speakers will discuss the ideal way of nutritional services mainly for mothers and children, as well as the sharing of issues and countermeasures to verify the possibility of nutrition education ("Shokuiku" in Japanese) and school feeding that promote the establishment of healthy eating habits.

We look forward to your participation.
